the Data People were asked to return to their Home Groups and review all the data generated from the Promise of the Practice inquiry on day one. The work was to look across the practices for either: Beliefs and Values, Principles and Processes, Conditions, Patterns and Themes, or Other. Working with all the data, in conversation in their small groups, people used Post-it notes to make statements about their observations. This work was an attempt to find common factors that integrate across promising practices. Is there anything essential to all successful work? Are there conditions that must be present to make a tool or technique successful? Are there factors beyond the steps in a process that allow the practice to flourish and take root? The answers here could lead to knowledge about how to create conditions that lead to a culture of success. "Things may need to get more complex before we can get to their essential simplicity."
